Celebrating Her Life

Our mother, Dr T Seetha, passed away peacefully at home on 16th July 2026.

Thank you for upholding us in your prayers as we bid farewell to a once in a generation celebrated teacher, extraordinary healer, inspiring mentor, lifelong pillar of support to her immediate and extended family - and above all, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Last rites at 2:30pm on Thursday 23rd July 2026 at Vaikuntha Mahaprasthanam, Shaikpet, Whisper Valley, Jubilee Hills.

Life Timeline

A Journey of Grace & Impact

1927

Early Beginnings

She was born in Chilakaluripeta in 1927 to Sri TS Appaji Rao and Smt Shakuntalamma, the eldest of 5 daughters and 1 son.
1952

MBBS Degree

She graduated from Stanley Medical College with her father’s encouragement and mother’s backing, and took up the responsibility of supporting the family on his retirement.
1955

Marriage

During her postgraduate training in King George Hospital, Vishakhapatnam, she married Dr P Rama Rao and moved to Hyderabad.
1960s

Teaching

As Professor of Obstetrics and Genecology in Osmania Medical College, she inspired and mentored several generations of medical students and postgraduate trainees. She kept teaching right up until she retired, driven purely by her passion for it.
1973

Superintendent of Government Maternity Hospital

She became the superintendent of the Government Maternity Hospital in Hyderabad and was also awarded WHO fellowship to travel to USA for training. She pioneered laparoscopic surgery and in Andhra Pradesh during her tenure.
1983

Private Doctor

She retired from government service in 1983 and continued to serve the people of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh as a private doctor for many years.
2026

A Peaceful Farewell

Passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind an indelible blueprint of a life magnificently lived.
